Yesterday GQ posted an article that immediately caught my attention: Best Damn Jacket for Under $200
I was only so-so interested in the brown corduroy number but the price seemed right so I figured I check them out.
What I found shocked me I was now seriously questioning GQ and the writers judgement in making this recommendation.
After reading Put This On: and their recent three-part article on how to “How to Thrift Menswear” I realized I had focused so much energy on trying to create certain looks for less via discount retailers like H&M, Zara, Topman, and Asos that I had shut myself off from a really great source of higher quality goods.

There are so many options today in men’s fashion if you simply cannot afford to buy everything from your favorite designer follow this formula and pick your favorite look and use it as inspiration and go shopping!
